The sting of death was abolished by Christ and the walls of hell were destroyed. But “Death even without its sting is still powerful for us…Hell with its walls destroyed and its gates abolished is still filled with those, having left the narrow royal path of the cross leading to paradise, follow the broad way all their lives.”
